Welcome!

My name is Fabian Gärtner and I am Senior Manager Solution Consulting at a market leader in industrial automation near Freiburg, Germany. With eight years of experience in the industry as a product and project manager, including team leadership, I have built deep expertise in indoor localization technologies such as UWB.

My technical career began with Dark Basic at the age of 11. Since then, I have learned a lot about software development, project management, and product management. From 2011 to 2016, I studied Computer Science in Media (B.Sc./M.Sc.) at Furtwangen University. During my studies and in the years since, I co-developed a multi-platform real-time 3D engine as well as several programs, video games, and websites.

I also have a creative side: As a teenager, I created award-winning cartoons and stop-motion animations, and later short films and documentaries. This background in media design still influences how I approach visual communication and storytelling, especially when explaining complex technical topics to customers.

If you are interested in my recent projects, take a look at my portfolio. For more on my professional and academic background, including my work and research activities, see my resume. And if you have any questions or would like to know more about me and my work, feel free to contact me.
