Welcome!

My name is Fabian Gärtner, I am a 34-year-old Strategic Product Manager (Team Lead) for Industry Automation, and I live near Freiburg, Germany. I started my technical career with Dark Basic at the age of 11. Since then, I have learned a lot about software development, project management and product management. From 2011 to 2016, I studied Computer Science in Media (B.Sc./M.Sc.) at Furtwangen University. During this time and in the last few years, I co-developed a multi-platform real-time 3D engine as well as several programs, video games, and websites. Besides that, I am also a filmmaker. I started with award-winning cartoons and stop motion animations and continued with short films and documentary films. I do all these things as part of my job and studies, as a freelancer, and for fun in my spare time. This personal website is intended to give you a brief overview of myself as well as an overview of my work and research projects in the last few years.
